The original car park building designed by KVA in 2000 with a concrete structure clad in silver-grey latticework was expanded in 2016 with the addition of two more floors and an extension with a total of 3,000 new parking spaces. The extended car park has a total floor area of 120,000 m² and 4,600 parking spaces, and it was Finland’s largest car park building when it was completed. Charging points for more than 30 electric cars have also been built into the P5 car park.
